A Deck-by-Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship

Chloé Ferreira

It is your Destiny. I recently returned from my first sailing aboard the Disney Destiny. After sharing some of my favorite activities you can’t miss, I’m back with a detailed look at the ship, deck by deck. The Destiny embarked on its maiden voyage in November 2025, and currently sails 4- and 5-night Bahamian and Caribbean itineraries from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This article will cover the venues found on each deck, from top to bottom, along with a few detail features along the way.

The Disney Destiny is a sister ship to Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, all are part of the Wish-class of DCL ships. And while the Wish-class look a lot like the Magic, Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy from the outside, they’re pretty different on the inside. There’s A LOT to uncover here! Let’s start from the top deck and work our way down.

Disney Destiny Deck 14

Located aft, there’s a sun deck reserved for adults just above Quiet Cove. This is also the ship’s smoking area.

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

And all the way forward is Chip ‘n Dale’s Pool – a quiet wading pool with a 2-foot depth and waterfall pool bench (this serves as a secondary adult pool, as the Quiet Cove pool is currently closed).

Disney Destiny Deck 13

Quiet Cove is the adult-exclusive pool and bar on the back of the ship, featuring plenty of lounge chairs, beds, and rocking chairs to relax in. Water areas include a whirlpool tucked along the side by one of the ship’s stacks, an infinity pool (closed at the time of sailing) with views out to the ocean, and a tiled seating area with shallow water along the bottom, and trickling water on seat backs.

Nearby, Cove Café offers specialty coffee, tea, and alcoholic beverages for an additional cost. Just like the Wish and Treasure, this café features artwork and decor themed to Moana. The Destiny’s Cove Café also features a smaller moss artwork of Te Fiti and Moana, similar to the Treasure’s staircase installation.

Also accessible via deck 13 is the entrance for the Aqua-Mouse. This “attraction at sea” water coaster debuted on the Wish. Similar to the Dream and Fantasy’s AquaDuck, here you join Mickey and Minnie on a zany animated adventure as you hop aboard a 2-person raft before ascending into a tunnel of screens with water effects and video synchronized to an original musical score, before riding through the water coaster path ahead.

Disney Destiny Deck 12

The Destiny’s adult dining district is located aft, offering lovely libations and gourmet food with hints of the original animated version of Beauty & the Beast found throughout the decor and furnishings (unlike the Wish with its live-action theme).

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté are the two up-charge dining locations requiring a reservation, while The Rose is an upscale bar connecting the two restaurants. Offering gorgeous ocean views at dusk, this lounge is a great spot for pre- and post-dinner drinks, whether or not you’re dining at Palo or Enchanté!

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

The Rose lures you in with gorgeous works of art of favorite Beauty & the Beast characters leading to an enchanted rose on a table near the lounge’s entrance.

Inspired by Cogsworth from Beast’s castle, Palo Steakhouse offers premium Italian dishes along with American prime beef cuts. And how could we forget the beloved chocolate soufflé? Dinner and brunch (on sea days only) services are offered here.

And inspired by Lumiere, Enchanté is the ship’s most elegant dining experience, boasting a menu from 3 Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement. Superior and seasonal ingredients are sourced from around the world (including the Chef’s own home garden located in Ohio) to create exceptional international dishes.

Hero Zone is a two-story sports court and game area, featuring a basketball court, air hockey, and foosball tables, and on occasion, an inflatable family-friendly obstacle course themed to The Incredibles!

Finally, Vibe Teen Club is located aft, the perfect hangout for young cruisers aged 14 through 17.

Disney Destiny Deck 11

This is where the real fun in the sun happens! Following the Wish-class layout, the Destiny offers several Family Pools cascading and scattered along the upper decks, with one large pool in the center (Minnie’s Pool), surrounded by smaller pools (Daisy’s and Pluto’s wading pools with waterfall features; and Donald’s and Goofy’s located on Deck 12 just above the others). Just below FunnelVision, you’ll find Mickey’s Pool, which can be covered and used as a stage for deck parties.

Throughout the voyage, favorite Disney movies play on the giant FunnelVision, so you can swim or lounge and watch, day or night!

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

For little ones and young families looking for water play, there’s Toy Story Splash Zone, Trixie’s Falls, and Slide-O-Saurus Rex. Wheezie’s Freezies is also nearby, serving up fresh fruit smoothies for an additional cost.

Located on deck 11 forward, Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods is the best place to grab some quality quick bites. Walk-up food counters include Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue, Donald’s Cantina, Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Goofy’s Grill (hello DCL chicken tendies!), and Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream (where you can enjoy all the unlimited soft-serve you’d like!).

And aft is where you’ll find the Destiny’s “buffet” food location — Marceline Market. This walk-up style eatery replaces the typical Cabanas buffet found on the older ships, featuring 10 food stations and a café-style beverage bar at the center.

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

Inspired by global food markets, the menus here vary throughout the voyage, including seafood, comfort foods, baked items, classic American fare, vegetarian options, soups, and salads. At night, Marceline Market is converted to a table-service dinner option.

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

Along the outskirts of Marceline Market are Jumbeaux’s Sweets and Dory’s Forget-Me-Knots, a gift shop offering sunscreen, sunglasses, swimsuits and other sundries needed for your pool day, as well as select ship-specific merchandise.

Edna A La Mode’s is the Destiny’s specialty sweet shop and ice cream parlor inspired by The Incredibles, decorated with colorful props and characters from the films. Premium gelato and ice cream with optional hand-made toppings are available here, along with themed baked goods and packaged candy. Similar to the ship’s other cafés and lounges, these treats are available at an additional cost.

Disney Destiny Decks 10 – 6

Decks 10, 9, 8 7, and 6 are filled with staterooms. However, deck 8 also features the ship’s laundry facility for all guests: Fairytale Fresh Laundry. Featuring subtle Bambi touches, this expansive laundry area offers plenty of washer & dryer units, steam irons, and ironing boards. Even better, it’s centrally located for easy access from any stateroom and softly plays Disney fairytale scores overhead!

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

Additionally, deck 6 includes an upper level of the Shipside Promenade; a more quiet, tucked away area, prime for naps or reading in the sun:

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

There is a service dog relief area here, tucked behind the stairway leading up to deck 7.

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

Staterooms vary in size, including interior rooms, rooms with a porthole view, verandahs, and suites. If you’ve cruised Disney before, you’ll be familiar with the common stateroom layout carried over from the other ships including the clever split-bathroom design. Depending on your stateroom’s location, themed custom artwork featured above the bed and along the walls include Hercules, Mulan, Brave, The Incredibles, Big Hero 6, Fantasia, and Ray & The Last Dragon.

Disney Destiny Deck 5

Buckle up, there’s a lot here!

Shipside Promenade – wooden loungers and shuffleboard line both port and starboard promenades. Across the DCL fleet, this is a favorite place to relax, read, or just take in the salty ocean air while keeping cool in the shade. The Destiny’s promenade deck offers varying levels to lounge about and play shuffleboard. Unfortunately, across the Wish-class, there is no straightforward walking/running path that wraps around deck 5 like the older ships. One end is blocked by the Rainforest Room outdoor area, and the other is closed off from guest access.

Back inside, at the top of the Grand Hall on level 5 you’ll find Mickey’s Mainsail: home to the most Disney Cruise Line exclusive souvenirs and gifts, including plenty of Disney Destiny-branded goods.

Saga is the two-story venue made for scheduled family and adult activities such as game shows, comedy acts, and more. The second-story balcony seating is accessible here on deck 5.

Triton’s Lounge is located just behind Sarabi on this level, hosting a smaller setting for scheduled trivia and scavenger hunt activities.

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

And nearby you’ll find Cask & Cannon, the ship’s pub inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean, featuring craft beers on draft, wines, and specialty cocktails. Food options are available in the evening for an additional charge. This is the home for sports lovers, as they’ll show the big games on surrounding screens.

Just nearby Mickey’s Mainsail, you’ll find one of two of the Grand Hall’s cafés: Café Merida. A Brave-inspired bar area offering cocktails, wine, and the same espresso and tea beverages from Cove Café.

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

Senses Spa aboard the Disney Destiny features intimate relaxation rooms, men’s and women’s locker rooms equipped with a steam room, private treatment rooms, spa villas for couples (or friends!), steam and aromatherapy rooms designed to help you rejuvenate and recharge. Body exfoliations, massages, facials, acupuncture, and specialized custom therapies are available here.

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

Connected to the Senses Spa is the Rainforest Room. The Wish-class Rainforest Rooms are very spacious, offering lush indoor and outdoor environments filled with waterfall showers, a dry-infrared sauna, steam room, and a frigidarium offering cryotherapy, and plenty of those beloved DCL heated tile loungers. The outdoor portion houses two whirlpool jacuzzis and various types of loungers lining the entire space. Note: the Rainforest Room is not included with reserved spa treatments; length-of-cruise passes are available for around $220-280 per person, with limited singular-day passes available at $79 per person.

Complimentary instructor-led fitness classes are offered throughout voyages.

Feast of the Lion King is one of your rotational dining room options on each sailing. It’s a theatrical dining experience with a central stage offering an optimal view for just about each table. Songs from the Lion King are performed by live drummers, singers and dancers as you feast on a new African-inspired menu.

Café Megara is the other café just off the Grand Hall, offering pressed juices, cocktails, wine, and the same favorite espresso, coffee, and tea beverages from Cove Café. These side cafés are a great place to refuel with caffeine and recharge your devices, as they’re often quiet, and USB ports line the bar areas.

Untangled Salon is a Rapunzel-themed high-end salon for adult guests, offering a variety of hair and nail services, including styling, manicures, and pedicures.

Hook’s Barbery is inspired by Captain Hook’s private quarters aboard the Jolly Roger, offering hair styling, nail, and skin care treatments for adults. For those 21 and older, you can sip on some of the finest whiskies, bourbon, and rums during your treatment as there’s a “secret” bar here as well!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is just a few steps away from the adult salons, and is just for the kids ages 3 to 12! Here is where your little one can get the royal treatment: hairstyling, makeup, full costume, and accessories. In addition to princess, prince, pirate, and knight costumes, kids can dress up as Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey.

Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas are the ship’s two movie theaters showing the latest Disney films. Two theaters mean even more options throughout your voyage!

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

Worlds of Marvel is another one of the Destiny’s themed entertainment dining, offering an interactive experience set against sleek decor fit for the Avengers. The main show onboard features Groot and Rocket Raccoon of the Guardians of the Galaxy as they honor the many Super Heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe who keep the world safe. This dinner show is filled with favorite retro tracks from the films, sweet moments between Rocket and Groot, and cuisine inspired by the MCU.

Near the Grand Hall on deck 4, you’ll find Guest Services and the Port Adventures booking desks.

Disney Destiny Deck 3

What is usually called the atrium on Disney’s previous ships, is known as the Grand Hall on the Wish-class. The Grand Hall aboard the Disney Destiny is the heroic heart of the ship; a living theater where the timeless battle between heroes and villains unfolds around you from the moment you step onboard.

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

The three-story space draws its design from the world of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, honoring Wakanda through its details, from pillar metalwork that mirrors the banded armor and stacked jewelry of Wakanda, to a chandelier inspired by the meteorite which hit Wakanda and brought Vibranium, and geometric floor patterns inspired by Queen Ramonda’s crown and the purple herb that gives the Black Panter his powers. Presiding over it all is a statue of T’Challa, the Black Panther himself: king, protector, and beloved hero.

1923 is one of the regular dining venues on board, and is split into two different dining areas (named for Walt and Roy), offering a more intimate setting rather than one large dining room. Tables are surrounded by over 800 pieces of artwork and artifacts from films such as The Incredibles, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, The Emporer’s New Groove, Toy Story, Tangled, and more. Named after the year the Walt Disney Co. was founded, 1923 serves up classic California dishes with Asian, European, and South American flavors. Table service breakfast and lunch is also served here throughout the voyage.

An upscale Shopping District is located on deck 3, which runs between the Grand Hall and the Walt Disney Theatre. Shopping venues line each side of the promenade, offering exclusive Disney Cruise Line merchandise and luxury gifts such as diamond jewelry, watches, and accessories. Here is where you’ll find Pandora Jewelry, Disney x Dooney & Bourke bags, Artist Spotlight collections, and additional exclusive themed souvenirs from the Haunted Mansion Parlor.

The Sanctum sits between the two sides of the Shopping District, themed to Marvel’s Dr. Strange. A stage hosts musical performances and the occasional trivia, and themed cocktails, specialty coffees, and stuffed waffles are all available for an additional charge.

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

The Haunted Mansion Parlor is tucked away just next to The Sanctum. This incredibly themed bar and lounge is filled Haunted Mansion imagery, illusions, lore, sounds, characters, textiles, music, Easter eggs… you name it! For Haunted Mansion fiends, this lounge is worth the cruise alone. The menu offers specialty cocktails and mocktails, exclusive souvenir glasses, craft beers and wine — but really, it’s all about the immersive theming here. The entire space is covered in deadly details.

De Vil’s is the Destiny’s piano bar with inspired touches from 101 Dalmatians, including chic black, white and red decor, serving specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The three-story Walt Disney Theater featuring two balconies is home to the Destiny’s broadway-style productions (Hercules, Frozen – A Musical Spectacular, and Disney Seas the Adventure) and evening variety shows.

Designed for children ages 3 to 12, the Destiny’s Oceaneer Club has four key areas – Star Wars: Cargo Bay, Marvel Super Hero Academy, Walt Disney Imagineering, and Fairytale Hall.

A Deck by Deck Tour of the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship DCL Fan

Plus, there’s a twisting Wreck-It-Ralph-themed slide from the Grand Hall on deck 3 for kids to land securely into the Oceaneer Club check-in area on deck 2. (Psst… adults can enjoy this fun feature during open house hours!)

Mickey & Minnie’s Captains Deck – for the younger sailors of the Oceaneer Club, this nautical playground is filled with physical and sensory-style games and activities. Mickey and Minnie themselves occasionally stop by for a scheduled performance. Additionally, the space is open at select times for young family group play.

“it’s a small world” nursery offers hourly babysitting and childcare services for infants and toddlers, with the most adorable it’s a small world theming incorporating Disney characters.

Disney Destiny Deck 1

Health Services provides non-emergency health care. Complimentary seasickness medication is also available here.

Finally, the Tender Lobby is also on deck 1: this is where you exit and re-enter the ship on port days.
