I’m fresh off the Disney Destiny and wanted to share a quick heads-up for fellow cruisers. The Quiet Cove Pool — the adult-exclusive infinity pool on Deck 13 Aft — is currently closed until further notice.
According to multiple crew members onboard, the Quiet Cove Pool has been closed for about a month due to a tile and/or surface issue. As shown in the photos below, half of the pool’s wall has been replaced with plywood, while the other half is completely missing. It’s unclear whether this was caused by a guest incident or an installation issue, but it doesn’t appear likely to reopen anytime soon.

Disney Cruise Line is not providing advance notice of the closure, and there is no information about it in the DCL Navigator app. The only signage is an “OUT OF ORDER” notice blocking access to the area.

The Cove Cafe, Cove Bar, and the two tiled seating areas flanking the infinity pool remain open. Loungers and seats are also still accessible here.

Now, when you search ‘adult pool’ within the Navigator app onboard, Chip ‘n Dale’s Pool is the sole result…

Chip ‘n Dale’s Pool Steps In
In the meantime, Chip ‘n Dale’s Pool (located on Deck 14 Forward) has been converted into an adults-only space.

This 2-foot-deep wading pool, found across the Wish class, is typically a quieter spot for both adults and families. On this sailing, however, it served as a dedicated adult area — and honestly, it turned into one of the most relaxing spots on the Disney Destiny.

It feels like this area was originally designed and intended to be another adult pool.

The pool also includes a shaded seating area with a waterfall back feature — much like the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy‘s Satellite Falls area for adults.

There are also plenty of shaded (or not) loungers sprawling across the entire Deck 14 Forward area. Bar service roams the area for drinks as well.

Going into this cruise, I didn’t expect to spend much time by the pool. I skipped the $79/day Rainforest Room pass and knew that adult-exclusive options are fairly limited on Wish-class ships. On its own, that infinity pool fills up quick, and doesn’t hold up to the many adults onboard looking to take a dip at any given moment. This change completely shifted my experience. Many guests onboard shared the same sentiment, and there’s a strong hope that Chip ‘n Dale’s Pool remains adults-only even after Quiet Cove reopens.
If you’re sailing on the Disney Destiny soon, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Chip ‘n Dale’s Pool may close during periods of high winds. It was closed for most of our second sea day, which further limited adult spaces.
- The ship’s horns are located directly above this area — be prepared for loud musical blasts while relaxing.

If you feel this setup works well, consider sharing feedback with Guest Services onboard. The Wish, Treasure and Destiny are among the largest ships in Disney’s fleet, but their adult-exclusive areas are relatively limited (especially when you’re not purchasing a Rainforest Room pass). Keeping this additional space could help better accommodate guests looking for a quieter place to unwind, not only on the Destiny, but those other ships in desperate need of more included adult-exclusive spaces. Here’s hoping they keep -and expand- this change up!

The satelitte falls area is why we (a childless couple in our 40s) only sail longer itineraries on the Dream and Fantasy. I can deal with kiddos in other areas of the ship, or for smaller trips. BUT if the Chip ‘n Dale’s pool stays adults only, we will certainly consider this a huge positive!
