Disney Believe Cruise Ship

Disney Cruise Line has officially revealed the name and theme of its next ship, the Disney Believe, announced during the 2026 Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholders Meeting by CEO Josh D’Amaro.

With its maiden voyage departing on December 18, 2027, the Disney Believe will be the fourth ship in the Wish class, joining the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny.

A Theme Centered on Dreams and Possibility

Each Wish-class ship is built around a central theme that influences everything onboard, from the design and décor to the entertainment and guest experiences.

For the Disney Believe, that theme is “promise and possibility.“

The ship will focus on stories of characters who believe in themselves and pursue their dreams, bringing that idea to life throughout the onboard experience.

Disney Stories Featured Onboard

Disney has confirmed that several beloved stories will help shape the look and feel of the Disney Believe, including:

These films are expected to inspire the ship’s environments, storytelling, and entertainment offerings, though specific details have not yet been announced.

During Horizons: D23 Disney Experiences Showcase 2026, Disney Cruise Line revealed some wonderful new details about the ship’s Grand Hall, bow and stern, giving us our first real taste of the storytelling that will make this newest addition to the fleet so special.

Disney Cruise Line has a long tradition of giving each ship its own special character artwork on the bow, and the Disney Believe is getting one that feels absolutely perfect for its name.

Tinker Bell will appear in a delicate, hand-painted filigree inspired by her original appearance in the 1953 animated classic Peter Pan. And she won’t be flying solo! Her design will include silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook and other characters from the film, all appearing to fly through the swirling design.

And then we have the stern, where Disney Cruise Line has given us another wonderfully playful surprise. Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Pixar’s Toy Story will be the larger-than-life characters appearing on the back of the Disney Believe.

The pair will be working together to etch the ship’s name across the stern using large yellow crayons, with the lettering taking inspiration from the famous block-style font of the Toy Story franchise.

Part of the Expanding Wish Class

The Disney Believe continues the evolution of Disney Cruise Line’s Wish-class ships, which are known for combining immersive storytelling with modern ship design. Each vessel in the class offers its own distinct identity while maintaining the signature Disney Cruise Line experience.

More details, including itineraries, onboard venues, and entertainment offerings, are expected to be announced as we get closer to the ship’s 2027 debut. Stay tuned for updates as Disney Cruise Line continues to share what’s in store for the Disney Believe.
