The Madrigal family is getting ready to take the stage aboard the Disney Believe! Disney Cruise Line has revealed a brand-new theatrical production inspired by Disney’s Encanto as part of the entertainment lineup for its newest ship.
The new show will bring the colorful world of the Madrigals to life onstage, adding Encanto to the growing list of Disney stories being represented throughout the Disney Believe. With the movie’s music, characters, and larger-than-life Casita, this feels like one that was practically begging to become a full-scale Disney Cruise Line production.
Today’s reveal is giving us our first real look at just how much original entertainment Disney is packing into the Believe. Rather than simply duplicating everything already offered aboard her sister ships, Disney Cruise Line is giving this ship several experiences of its own, and an Encanto stage production is a pretty significant addition.
Disney has already been revealing one new space after another during today’s special Disney Believe presentation aboard the Disney Wish. We’ve learned about new dining venues, including Oaken’s Table, inspired by Frozen, along with Cafe Kakamora and a Big Hero 6-inspired cafe. Other newly revealed spaces include The Wishing Well lounge, while Joyful Sweets, inspired by Inside Out, will return aboard the Believe.
And now we can add a full Encanto production to the list.
The Disney Believe will embark on its maiden voyage December 18, 2027, followed by 4- and 5-night cruises to The Bahamas from Fort Lauderdale. We’ll have plenty more from today’s Disney Believe reveal as Disney Cruise Line continues pulling back the curtain on its newest ship.
