Disney Cruise Line is filling in more of the blanks aboard the Disney Believe, and we’ve now learned about two new cafés coming to the ship.
Guests will be able to visit Café Kakamora, inspired by Moana, along with a second café themed to Disney’s Big Hero 6. The two new spots were revealed during today’s big Disney Believe presentation as Disney Cruise Line shared the first major wave of details about its newest ship.
And can we appreciate Café Kakamora as a name for a moment? The mischievous coconut pirates from Moana are such a fun choice for a casual café aboard a Disney ship, especially one that will already have a strong connection to the film.
The Big Hero Sips café gives Disney another completely different world to play with. The futuristic San Fransokyo setting lends itself beautifully to a café, and we’re especially curious to see how Baymax and the rest of the film’s colorful aesthetic make their way into the finished space.
The cafés join a growing list of experiences inspired by Disney stories aboard the Believe. Disney previously confirmed that the ship would draw inspiration from Moana, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Encanto, and The Little Mermaid, and today’s presentation is giving us our first real look at how some of those stories will be represented onboard.
The news comes alongside another major announcement for the Disney Believe. The ship will depart on its maiden voyage December 18, 2027, followed by 4- and 5-night cruises to The Bahamas and the Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale.
