Learn How Disney Cruise Line Brings Junkanoo to Life

Jackie Gailey

Disney Cruise Line’s newest destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, is located on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera. It offers visitors stunning beaches, signature Disney Cruise Line entertainment, and the vibrant culture of The Bahamas, including the cherished tradition of Junkanoo.

Junkanoo is the signature festival of The Bahamas, and its vibrant singing, dancing, and drumming come to life in big ways at Disney Lookout Cay. At this destination, guests can visit the Goombay Cultural Center, where they’ll learn about the tradition and craft their costumes at the “Sights and Sounds of Junkanoo” family workshop. Guests can don their newly crafted costumes and join the parade and celebration. Mickey Mouse and Friends will be there too!
