You are counting down the days until you are on your Disney Cruise. It’s time to start packing. Have you given any thought to what is in your carry-on bag, backpack, or small suitcase on Embarkation Day? It is a good idea to have one for when you board the ship. You typically will need to wait for your stateroom to be ready, so you want to have some necessary items with you while you wait.
Your carry-on will go through a security scanning at check-in so be aware of the prohibited items not allowed on the cruise. Your items could be taken and held until after the cruise.
Your carry-on bag should have any medications that you require. You should never pack your medications in your checked in luggage in the event it gets lost.
You should pack a bathing suit for everyone planning to swim, sunglasses, and a hat. Don’t forget the sunscreen, you can burn quickly if you are taking a tropical cruise.
I find a good book important in my bag while I am lounging by the pool. I also throw a few waterproof bags in for storing my phone and other items I don’t want to get wet.
Don’t forget your cell phone, a credit card, room key or MagicbBand/DisneyBand, passport, and any other important documents you used at check-in and your valuables.
If you use a backpack, you will find it handy for those shore excursions you have planned. Don’t forget your camera for those memories that are sure to happen.
Don’t forget to pack away your worries and have a great time on your cruise. Enjoy your time away!
