Disney’s original cruise ship, the Disney Magic, is officially docked at the brand-new Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! We docked right around 8 AM in what seemed like a seamless process.
The highlight had to be the moment when the ship sounded its classic horn, “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes”… pure Disney magic!
We haven’t headed out to the island just yet but we’re all wondering about the very long walkway to Lookout Cay. We spotted some large golf carts but we’ll have to see if they’ll be used for guests. We’ll keep you updated!
Editor’s note: Government mandates to protect the environment are the reason for the long dock, but Disney Cruise Line is working out the transportation for those who are unable to walk to the island from the ship.
And to answer the age-old question – yes, you do want to book your stateroom on the starboard side! For reference, this is our view from deck 6 on the port side.
