Back in January, Disney Cruise Line shared the new Bahamian-inspired outfits that Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will wear during their visits to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point when it opens this summer. Today, we have the first look at all of the new costumes!
Acclaimed Bahamian fashion designer Theodore Elyett designed all eight looks with traditional Junkanoo style in mind, including eye-catching details like fringe, conch shells, ocean rays, and sunshine. Take a look at the video below to learn more about the designs and the designer.
I love that the costumes are somewhat similar to the new fits we’ve been seeing on Disney’s Castaway Cay, but they’re different enough to have reason to make a visit to both islands a must-do. At least it does in my book!
