Reports are emerging of a fire that broke out on the Disney Wonder last Wednesday evening that caused the eventual evacuation of decks 9 and 10. It was Pirate Night aboard the western-based Disney Cruise Liner when flames were seen escaping from the speaker on the upper right side of the Deck 9 outdoor movie screen.

Guests sharing accounts on social media have noted how well the situation was handled, saying that Disney crew members stayed calm and collected, keeping guests feeling the same way during the evacuation.

At no time were there any flames near guests, and no injuries were reported. The ship is still on track to complete its current itinerary and didn’t experience any delays as a result of the incident.
