Disney Cruise Line is officially returning to New York City in fall 2027, and this time, the Disney Wish is heading to the Big Apple!
Earlier this week, Disney Cruise Line teased an upcoming announcement by sharing a series of coordinates on social media. Among the six locations teased was New York City, and we now know why. Disney Cruise Line has revealed a lineup of Disney Wish sailings departing from New York, including cruises to Bermuda, Canada, and New England.
The Disney Cruise Line website currently lists the following itineraries as “coming soon,” meaning they are not yet available to book. Disney Cruise Line hasn’t sailed from New York City since fall 2023, when the Disney Dream offered select Bermuda and Eastern Canada itineraries. New York has historically been a more occasional home port for Disney, particularly compared to major year-round ports like Port Canaveral. But Disney Cruise Line is a much bigger operation than it was just a few years ago. As the fleet continues to expand, Disney has more flexibility to send its ships to additional home ports and destinations.
Since entering service in 2022, the Disney Wish has primarily been associated with shorter Bahamian cruises from Port Canaveral. These 2027 itineraries offer Northeast cruisers a very different opportunity to experience the Wish without having to travel to Florida!
