One thing Disney Cruise Line has always done exceptionally well is creating spaces where kids can explore, play, and make friends while their parents get to enjoy a little time to themselves. On the brand-new Disney Adventure, that tradition continues with an impressive (albeit similar) lineup of youth spaces designed for every age group – from babies to teens.
Let’s take a walk through some of the imaginative areas Disney has created for younger cruisers aboard this highly anticipated ship.
Disney’s Oceaneer Club

At the heart of the kids’ programming onboard the Disney Adventure is Disney’s Oceaneer Club, a dedicated space for children ages 3 to 10. Under the guidance of specially trained Disney counselors, kids can jump into interactive adventures inspired by some of their favorite Disney stories. These themed environments allow children to move freely between play zones while engaging in games, creative activities, and immersive storytelling.
Andy’s Toy Box

One of the standout spaces inside the Oceaneer Club is Andy’s Toy Box, where kids shrink down to toy size and enter the playful world of Toy Story. The oversized environment looks like Andy’s bedroom was brought to life, complete with colorful toys, gadgets, and interactive play elements. A Slinky Dog slide winds through the area, giving young cruisers a chance to burn off energy while exploring this larger-than-life toy playground.

Fairytale Hall

For kids who dream of castles and magical kingdoms, Fairytale Hall offers a charming space inspired by beloved Disney Princess stories. Here, young cruisers can create crafts, play games, and let their imaginations run wild in an environment designed to spark creativity and storytelling.

Marvel WEB Workshop

Meanwhile, aspiring superheroes can head to the Marvel WEB Workshop, where kids can test their skills as recruits for the Avengers. The experience invites young guests to try out suit prototypes inspired by Spider-Man and other Marvel heroes while participating in high-tech training simulations.

Walt Disney Imagineering Lab

For kids who love building, inventing, and imagining new worlds, the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab offers a fascinating peek behind the curtain of Disney creativity. Through hands-on activities and experiments, kids can explore the kind of ideas and innovations that bring Disney parks, attractions, and cruise ships to life.

Edge – A Club for Tweens

Tweens ages 11 to 14 get their own hangout spot called Edge, cleverly hidden within San Fransokyo Street behind the façade of the Edge of the Bay Café. Inside, the space opens into a vibrant lounge where tweens can play games, participate in group activities, and meet new friends their age.

Vibe – The Teen Hangout

Older teens ages 14 to 17 also have a space of their own. Tucked behind Vibe Records on San Fransokyo Street, Vibe is a relaxed teen retreat where guests can watch movies, play games, and take part in activities specifically designed for their age group.

“it’s a small world” nursery

For the youngest travelers on board, the “it’s a small world” nursery offers a colorful childcare space inspired by the classic Disney attraction. Here, children ages 6 months to 3 years can play, nap, and enjoy quiet activities under the care of trained counselors.
Mickey & Minnie Captain’s Deck

Little cruisers can also explore Mickey & Minnie Captain’s Deck, a nautical-themed play area designed especially for toddlers and preschoolers. Kids can steer a ship’s wheel, crawl through playful structures, climb aboard a miniature bridge, and enjoy sensory-style games. Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie occasionally stop by to greet their smallest sailors.
Royal Society for Friendship and Tea

Young princess fans can also take part in a special character experience called the Royal Society for Friendship and Tea. This charming gathering invites kids ages 3 to 12 to enjoy stories, songs, and treats alongside Disney Princesses. Each child receives a keepsake gift to take home, making it a memorable highlight of the cruise. The experience requires an additional fee and advance reservations.
From imaginative play spaces to superhero training labs and cozy lounges for teens, the kids’ spaces on board the Disney Adventure, like Disney Cruise Line’s other ships, were clearly designed with young cruisers in mind. With so many themed environments spread throughout the ship, kids will have plenty of places to explore, create, and make new friends while sailing on Disney Cruise Line’s newest adventure.
