Disney Wish Transatlantic Concierge Sells Out Before Platinum Booking Opens

Disney Cruise Line opened bookings for its newly announced Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries Monday morning, and one highly anticipated sailing is already proving just how much demand there is.

Today, August 31, marks the first day Pearl Castaway Club Members can book the new itineraries, giving Disney Cruise Line’s most frequent cruisers the first shot at staterooms. But Concierge accommodations on the Disney Wish‘s 12-night Westbound Transatlantic cruise departing Southampton on September 17, 2027, appeared to disappear within minutes of booking opening.

The special sailing will reposition the Disney Wish following its first European season, taking guests across the Atlantic from Southampton to New York. The itinerary includes stops in Greenock, Scotland; Reykjavik, Iceland; and St. John’s, Newfoundland, before arriving in New York on September 29.

Over on the Disney Cruise Line forum at DISboards, cruisers were comparing notes Monday morning as they attempted to secure their staterooms.

Those were gone in 10 minutes (or less!),” DISboards member CPer’sMom reported about Concierge availability.

Another Pearl Castaway Club Member, KKKKCS, said even their travel agent initially couldn’t secure one.

“We are Pearl and our travel agent could not get one. They went fast! The couple we are cruising with logged in 25 minutes early and the system allowed them to book a concierge at that time, and there were only 5 available.”

There is a little hope for anyone who missed out, though. The same DISboards member later returned with an encouraging update:

“Follow up—Our TA kept at it and was able to get us a concierge cabin. Keep checking! One of the best times to get a sold out cruise or category is in the few days before “pay in full day.” People cancel and you can grab their room. That strategy worked for us on the Panama Canal last year.”

And Concierge isn’t the only inventory moving quickly. DISboards member insureman reported that other desirable staterooms were disappearing and prices were already climbing Monday morning.

“All the bump out room are unavailable now. Already a GTY rate for Deluxe Oceanvew with Veranda . Prices on other Veranda cabins have increased dramatically in just a few hours. I was able to get on at 7:30 EST. Disney said they were opening the bookings at 8AM.”

That brings us to the big question: What will still be available when Platinum Castaway Club Members get their turn tomorrow?

Disney Cruise Line’s staggered early-booking period continues Tuesday, September 1, for Platinum Castaway Club Members, followed by Gold on September 2 and Silver on September 3. Eligible Disney Vacation Club Members and Adventures by Disney Adventure Insiders can book beginning September 4, with the new itineraries opening to the general public on September 8.

It’s worth remembering that “sold out” doesn’t necessarily mean “gone forever.” Staterooms can return to inventory as holds expire, reservations change, or guests cancel. We saw evidence of that happening this morning when at least one DISboards member was ultimately able to secure Concierge after initially being told none was available.

Still, if Monday morning is any indication, Platinum Castaway Club Members hoping to sail Concierge on this particular Disney Wish voyage may want to be ready when their booking window opens tomorrow. The Westbound Transatlantic hasn’t even made it through the first day of Castaway Club bookings, and demand is already looking VERY strong.
