Disney Cruise Line is returning to New York City in fall 2027, and this time, the Disney Wish is heading to the Big Apple! If you’ve been waiting for DCL to return to New York, you’ll have seven cruises to choose from, with itineraries visiting Bermuda, Canada, and New England.
This will also mark the Disney Wish’s first season sailing from New York. The ship arrives after spending the summer in Europe and begins its NYC schedule on September 29, 2027. Autumn in New York? Most of the sailings also celebrate Halloween on the High Seas!

Disney Wish New York Itineraries for 2027
Ranging from four to seven nights, there are five itineraries that visit Bermuda, as well as Canada and New England options, plus a one-way sailing that starts in New York and ends in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Here’s the full schedule:
- September 29 – October 3, 2027: 4-Night Bermuda Cruise
- The Disney Wish kicks off its New York season with a four-night round-trip cruise to King’s Wharf, Bermuda. This is the shortest NYC itinerary and the only sailing during the season that isn’t part of Halloween on the High Seas.
- October 3 – 8, 2027: 5-Night Halloween on the High Seas Canada & New England Cruise
- The first Halloween sailing heads north to Saint John, New Brunswick, and Boston, Massachusetts, before returning to New York.
- October 8 – 14, 2027: 6-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bermuda & Canada Cruise
- Can’t decide between Bermuda and Canada? This six-night cruise visits both. The Wish stops at King’s Wharf, Bermuda, and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
- October 14 – 19, 2027: 5-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bermuda Cruise
- This five-night round-trip sailing from New York heads to King’s Wharf, Bermuda, with extended time in port.
- October 19 – 24, 2027: 5-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bermuda Cruise
- Disney follows it with another five-night Bermuda itinerary, also sailing round-trip from New York.
- October 24 – 31, 2027: 7-Night Halloween on the High Seas Canada Cruise
- The longest NYC itinerary spends seven nights sailing to Canada, with stops in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Sydney, Nova Scotia; and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Disney Cruise Line will also return to New England and Atlantic Canada in 2027 for the first time in nearly four years.
- October 31 – November 5, 2027: 5-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bermuda Cruise from New York to San Juan
- The final NYC sailing has the Wish leaving New York on Halloween, visits King’s Wharf, Bermuda, and continues south to San Juan, Puerto Rico. (Unlike the other NYC cruises, this one isn’t round-trip. If you book it, you’ll need to factor a flight home from Puerto Rico into your travel plans.)
Meet Your Ship: The Disney Wish
The 2027 season brings the Disney Wish to New York for the first time. The Wish joined the Disney Cruise Line fleet in 2022 and usually spends much of its time sailing shorter Bahamas itineraries from Port Canaveral. By the time it reaches New York in 2027, the ship will have also completed its first European season.
Onboard, you’ll find the AquaMouse, Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, Worlds of Marvel, 1923, The Bayou, Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge, the Walt Disney Theatre, and a Grand Hall that makes this “the castle of the seas”.
Since most of the NYC 2027 voyages are Halloween on the High Seas sailings, the Grand Hall will be decorated for the season, with additional themed events and activities.
Where Does Disney Cruise Line Sail From in New York?
Disney Cruise Line uses the Manhattan Cruise Terminal for its New York sailings. The terminal sits along the Hudson River on Manhattan’s West Side.
This isn’t Port Canaveral, where you’re arriving at a Disney-specific cruise terminal. You’re heading into Manhattan, so traffic, hotel location, transportation, and arrival time deserve a little more planning.
Disney assigns guests a Port Arrival Time during the online check-in process. Stick to that window rather than showing up hours early, and keep your cruise documents and identification with you instead of putting them in your checked luggage.
Should You Arrive in New York the Day Before Your Cruise?
Yes, and I’d argue this is one of the easiest Disney Cruise Line homeports to justify an extra day or two.
New York has three major airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport. Your best option will depend on airfare, your hotel, and how you plan to get into Manhattan.
No matter which airport you choose, I wouldn’t plan to fly into New York on embarkation morning. Flight delays happen, traffic happens, and the Disney Wish isn’t waiting because your flight spent two extra hours on the tarmac. Arriving the day before takes that stress out of embarkation morning. Better yet, you’re in New York City. Why rush through it?
Make a New York Vacation Out of It!
If I were booking one of these cruises, I’d add at least one or two nights in Manhattan before sailing. If you’re already paying to get to New York, there’s no reason you can’t squeeze a little NYC vacation into the trip.
Spend a morning in Central Park, wander through Rockefeller Center and Fifth Avenue, grab a New York slice, visit the Museum of Natural History, or see a Broadway show the night before your cruise. Maybe make a stop at the Disney Store in Times Square!
Staying in Manhattan the night before also makes embarkation morning much easier. Have breakfast, check out of your hotel, and make your way over to the cruise terminal when it’s time.
