Disney Cruise Line has informed guests aboard a current sailing that the Disney Wish will no longer be able to visit Disney Castaway Cay as planned this Sunday due to unfavorable weather conditions in The Bahamas.
According to a letter delivered to staterooms, Disney Cruise Line has been closely monitoring a weather system expected to bring strong winds and rough seas to the area overnight Saturday and throughout the day Sunday. Because of these conditions, the decision was made to cancel the scheduled stop at Disney Castaway Cay in the interest of guest and crew safety.
Instead of visiting Castaway Cay on Sunday, the ship will remain in Nassau, Bahamas for an extended stay. Guests will spend Saturday night in Nassau and continue their visit into Sunday morning before returning to Port Canaveral on Monday.
The revised itinerary for the sailing is now as follows:
• Friday: Port Canaveral, Florida
• Saturday: Nassau, Bahamas
• Sunday: Nassau, Bahamas (extended stay)
• Monday: Port Canaveral, Florida
Disney Cruise Line emphasized that the safety and well-being of guests and crew members remain its top priority and thanked guests for their understanding regarding the necessary change.

Guests who had pre-reserved Port Adventures for Disney Castaway Cay will see those reservations automatically removed from their onboard accounts. Port Adventures in Nassau, along with onboard experiences, will be available to book through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or at the Port Adventures Desk once the ship is underway.
While missing a visit to Castaway Cay is understandably disappointing for many cruisers, Disney Cruise Line shared that it remains committed to providing the high-quality experience guests expect, even with last-minute itinerary adjustments caused by weather.
Guests are encouraged to check the Navigator app for updated schedules, activity offerings, and availability as the sailing continues.
