Disney Adventure Set to Stop in Los Angeles Before Asia Debut

Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Adventure, is making a brief stop in Los Angeles this February as part of its long repositioning voyage to Southeast Asia.

After spending time in Port Canaveral earlier this year, the Disney Adventure recently completed its transit through the Panama Canal. The ship is scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles on February 9, 2026, before continuing its journey across the Pacific Ocean.

This visit comes ahead of the ship’s long-anticipated debut in Asia. Following a delay to its inaugural sailing, the Disney Adventure is now expected to welcome its first guests on March 10, 2026, sailing from Singapore.

The Disney Adventure has quite a unique backstory within the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Originally ordered by Dream Cruises and partially constructed at the MV Werften shipyard, the ship was purchased by Disney in 2022 while still unfinished. Disney Cruise Line later partnered with Meyer Werft to redesign and finish the ship, transforming it into a fully themed Disney cruise experience.

Now weighing in at approximately 208,000 tons, the Disney Adventure is the largest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. It features seven themed areas inspired by Disney stories and characters, including the Disney Imagination Garden, a large open-air space celebrating more than a century of Disney storytelling.

One of the ship’s most talked-about features is Ironcycle Test Run, Disney Cruise Line’s first-ever onboard roller coaster, located within a Marvel-themed adventure zone.

When it officially enters service, the Disney Adventure will mark a major milestone as Disney Cruise Line’s first ship homeported in Asia. The ship will offer three- and four-night cruises from Singapore, focusing on immersive onboard experiences rather than port stops.

Before heading west, the Disney Adventure also made headlines earlier this month for becoming the largest passenger ship to ever transit the Panama Canal’s new locks.
