Your stateroom on a Disney Cruise ship is your home-away-from-home while at sea. For an industry known for close quarters, there’s plenty of ingenious ideas Disney has implemented when designing their staterooms. You can fit suitcases under the bed, there’s ample closet and drawer space for storing items, and the pioneered split-bathroom design allows families to better plan around bathroom visits and getting ready for the day ahead. But what if the stateroom’s shower still feels a little cramped? Or what if there’s one too many in your traveling party that wants to shower at the time you already planned to? Keep reading for my recent discovery that will change the way you bathe on your next Disney Cruise.
What if I told you there’s a way to enjoy an oversized shower with upgraded amenities, and it’s still included in your cruise fare? Did I mention there’s a small steam sauna to enjoy, too?!

Enter Senses Spa.
While I can’t recommend the Rainforest Room enough (more on that later), it comes at an additional cost, and there’s no privacy to truly bathe in the area with other guests around. However, the Men’s & Women’s Locker Room are located just near the Rainforest Room and fitness area within Senses Spa. Here is where you’ll find lockers to stow your things during spa treatments, fitness time, or whenever you’d like to enjoy the Locker Room amenities.

In addition to the private, oversized showers equipped with Elemis shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers, Locker Room amenities include water fountains, large body towels, body lotion, spray deodorant, hair dryers, hair gel, and combs. On the Dream and Fantasy, there are three large showers, in addition to a small steam sauna near the locker area.

During my recent voyage aboard the Disney Fantasy, I discovered that the Locker Room shower area was often nearly empty, with rarely more than one shower occupiedāif any at all. After realizing this on my first visit, I decided to bring my toiletries in a tote and exclusively showered there for the remainder of my trip. Of course, I’m happy to share this little tip with you… but don’t tell EVERYONE, okay?

Upon my confirming with the spa’s front desk, the Locker Rooms are open to all 18+ guests to enjoy the amenities – no Rainforest Room pass or booked spa treatment needed. So, next time you’re on a Disney Cruise and would like some time away from your cramped bathroom, or simply need a break away, head to Senses Spa for this cruise “freebie”!

*This is based on my experience from Senses Spa on the Disney Fantasy in March 2025. However, each of the other Disney Cruise ships offer locker rooms for use.
