After numerous delays, Brightline has announced that train service from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to various locations in southern Florida, including Miami, will begin on September 22, 2023.
One-way SMART fares start at $79 for adults and $39 for children, plus taxes and fees. Passengers can save 50% on kids fares by purchasing any Adult SMART fare booked on or after October 1, 2022, through December 31, 2023. Groups of four or more save an additional 25% on SMART fares.
There will be 16 daily round trips with hourly departures between Miami and Orlando. Transit time on the one-way non-stop train from Orlando to their station in Miami will take three hours.
Other train options out of Orlando will stop in West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and Aventura, making this option convenient for Disney cruises going out of Miami or Fort Lauderdale before or after your Walt Disney World vacation.
The schedule for their weekday trains out of Orlando will include:
- Hourly southbound departures from Orlando to Miami from 5:00 a.m. until 8:50 p.m.
- The first southbound train from Orlando arrives in Miami at 8:30 a.m.
- Hourly northbound departures from Miami to Orlando from 6:50 a.m. until 9:45 p.m.
- The first northbound train from Miami arrives in Orlando at 10:15 a.m.
The schedule for their weekend trains out of Orlando will include:
- Hourly southbound departures from Orlando to Miami from 5:00 a.m. until 8:50 p.m.
- The first southbound train from Orlando arrives in Miami at 8:30 a.m.
- Hourly northbound departures from Miami to Orlando from 5:45 a.m. until 9:45 p.m.
- The first northbound train from Miami arrives in Orlando at 9:15 a.m.
The station in Orlando is located next to Terminal C at MCO and connects directly to the airport’s parking garage C.
