Passengers onboard the Disney Fantasy are reporting that the ship will not make its scheduled stop at Disney’s Castaway Cay today due to apparent engine issues with the ship. According to the message sent within the DCL app from the ship’s captain, the engine issue caused a loss of speed, and the ship will need to make its way to Port Canaveral in order to arrive there by its scheduled time on Saturday morning. The captain assured passengers that there are no safety concerns due to the engine issue.
It’s always unfortunate to learn of an unplanned itinerary change such as this one when you’re on a Disney cruise. Passengers are being given a 25% Future Cruise Credit for the inconvenience.
