Disney Cruise Line has just announced an update to their requirements for sailing, and children 5 years of age and older must now be fully vaccinated prior to sailing. The previous requirement stated that guests age 12 and up must be fully vaccinated.

The new requirement goes into effect for voyages beginning January 13th, 2022, including sailings leaving that day. At-port day-of testing will remain in place for all guests. Proof of a negative COVID test taken between 3 days and 24 hours before the sailing must be provided for children under 5. According to DCL, “guests ages 5 through 11 may complete this testing requirement in lieu of being fully vaccinated for sailings that depart before January 13, 2022. Guests 4 years of age and under must complete the testing requirements.”

As before, all guests must upload proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results to Safe Passage prior to sailing.

Affected guests have already begun receiving communication from DCL regarding the change in policy.
