Disney Cruise Line has signed a 15-year agreement with Huna Totem Corporation (HTC) that will keep their cruise ships calling on Icy Strait Point through at least 2041.
The new agreement gives Disney Cruise Line preferential access to the privately-owned cruise destination for one ship each week and includes a minimum annual passenger guarantee. It also extends a partnership that has been in place for nearly a decade.
Located in Hoonah, Alaska, Icy Strait Point is owned and operated by Huna Totem Corporation. The destination focuses on showcasing Huna Tlingit culture alongside Alaska’s wildlife and outdoor activities, and it serves as the largest employer in Hoonah.

The announcement comes after Disney Cruise Line expanded its Alaska season in 2026 from one ship to two. This year, both the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are sailing select seven-night Alaska itineraries that include a stop at Icy Strait Point.

The agreement also reflects Disney Cruise Line’s continued investment in the communities it visits. Disney has supported programs across Southeast Alaska in recent years, including initiatives focused on food security, environmental stewardship, youth leadership, and workforce readiness.
Disney Cruise Line has not announced its Alaska deployment beyond the current season, or whether two ships will continue sailing Alaska, but this agreement secures one of its key ports through 2041. If you’re planning an Alaska cruise, Icy Strait Point isn’t going anywhere!
