Disney Cruise Line Cancels Disney Magic Sailings Through October 9, 2021

The team at Disney Cruise Line has announced they are cancelling all Disney Magic sailings departing through October 9, 2021. The decision was made after reviewing the recently released guidances from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Guests who have been affected by the decision and have paid their reservation in full have the choice of a 125% future cruise credit to be used for a future sailing on or before September 30, 2022 or a full refund. The credit is automatically added to your account and can be applied as a payment option when booking a new reservation online. Guests who haven’t paid their reservations in full will automatically receive a refund of what they’ve paid so far.

This is a setback for Disney Cruise Line, but a necessary step as they focus on the health and well-being of guests and cast members. What is the current status of the other Disney Cruise Line ships? The last update from DCL has all Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wonder departures suspended through June 2021. Bob Chapek, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, expects Disney Cruise Line to resume sailing this fall, so there’s still hope!
