Disney Vacation Club members have another reason to get excited about the Disney Believe! DVC has just announced a special “First Wave” sailing departing January 5, 2028, giving eligible members an opportunity to be among the first guests to experience Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship.
The announcement was shared on Disney Vacation Club’s official Instagram account, along with a graphic featuring the Disney Believe and the January departure date. The sailing will be exclusive to eligible DVC members, and reservations open November 21, 2026.
This special voyage will take place less than three weeks after the Disney Believe’s maiden voyage, which is scheduled to depart from Fort Lauderdale on December 18, 2027. That means participating members will get to experience the ship very early in its inaugural season.
Disney hasn’t shared the complete itinerary, sailing length, or booking requirements for the First Wave voyage in this announcement. However, the promotional graphic includes an important note stating that the offer requires eligibility and an exchange, and that details are subject to change.
DVC members interested in booking should pay particular attention to those requirements once additional information becomes available. The November 21 booking date is separate from the Disney Believe’s general reservation opening, which begins October 19, 2026.
The Disney Believe will feature a Moana-inspired Grand Hall, new dining experiences including Oaken’s Table, and entertainment inspired by Disney’s Encanto. Guests will also find returning favorites such as the Haunted Mansion Parlor, Worlds of Marvel, and Joyful Sweets.
