UPDATE: As expected, Disney Cruise Line has cancelled remaining sailings on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy through September 15, 2020.
The Disney Wonder’s Alaskan sailings have already been cancelled through mid-September and the Disney Magic’s European dates have been cancelled through October 2nd.
Guests on the affected Dream and Fantasy sailings will be receiving emails soon, if they haven’t already. Guests can choose to receive a full refund or a 125% future cruise credit to be used before March 21, 2022.
Changes to sail dates or refund requests can be processed beginning June 22, 2020.
The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), of which Disney Cruise Line is a member, has announced that its Board of Directors voted to voluntarily extend the suspension of cruise operations at U.S. ports until September 15, 2020. The extension applies to all ships that are subject the CDC’s No Sail Order.
While the CDC has not extended the No Sail Order which is set to expire on July 24, CLIA believes that the “barriers to the resumption of U.S. cruise operations will not be resolved” by then.

Due to the ongoing situation with the U.S. related to COVID-19, CLIA member cruise lines have decided to voluntarily extend the period of suspended passenger operations. The current No Sail Order issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will expired on 24 July, and although we had hoped that cruise activity could resume as soon as possible after that date, it is increasingly clear that more time will be needed to resolve barriers to resumption in the United States.
Although we are confident that future cruises will be healthy and safe, and will fully reflect the latest protective measures, we also feel that it is appropriate to err on the side of caution to help ensure the best interests of our passengers and crewmembers. We have therefore decided to further extend our suspension of operations from U.S. ports until 15 September. The additional time will also allow us to consult with the CDC on measures that will be appropriate for the eventual resumption of cruise operations.
This voluntary suspension applies to all CLIA members to which the No Sail Order applied (vessels with capacity to carry 250 persons or more). CLIA member cruise lines will continually evaluate the evolving situation and make a determination as to whether a further extension is necessary.
Currently, Disney Cruise Line has suspended operations in Europe through October 2, in Canada through September 14, and remaining itineraries through July 17. We expect to hear official cancellation information from Disney soon.
