One of the unexpected joys of a Disney Cruise Line vacation is just how much fun it is to shop on board. Each ship features beautifully themed boutiques brimming with merchandise you won’t find anywhere else, not in the Disney theme parks, and not even in the online Disney Store. Whether you’re a collector, a casual souvenir hunter, or just looking for that perfect keepsake, the onboard shopping experience is a treasure trove of Disney magic.
Today, I’m sharing some of the treasures that I found on my last Disney cruise. I’ve noted the prices on the majority of the items, but there were a few close-up photos that didn’t focus, so I wasn’t able to see the pricing, but still wanted to share the images because they’re too cute not to. You might also find plush characters dressed in adorable sailor outfits, ship-exclusive artwork, and apparel that proudly showcases the ports of call you may have visited. These are the kinds of souvenirs that spark conversations back home because they can only be picked up while you’re at sea.

Because quantities are typically limited, there’s an added thrill to finding and securing that perfect item before it’s gone. We always recommend that when you spot something you can’t live without, you buy it right then, as you never know how quickly things can and do sell out. Even if you’re not 100% sure that you need it at that moment, at least you’ll have it and can decide later in the cruise if you want to return it or not. Trust me, I’ve been one of those people who didn’t buy a mug when I was on the Disney Wish, and it was gone the next time I visited the shop. The friendly crew members even searched high and low in the back and couldn’t find another one. Needless to say, I was a sad panda.
Sometimes, there’s a purchase with a purchase item available. On my last sailing, there was a Disney Cruise Line duffle bag for $29.99 with a purchase of $40 or more. This one was pretty plain, so I wasn’t tempted by it. Now, if it had been the bright and colorful nautical theme above, it would’ve likely made its way to my shopping bag.
This cute little cosmetic bag below is the one thing I didn’t purchase and I regret it. It’s just too cute and I want it. I had it in my hand and looked at it for quite some time. I even unzipped all the compartments of it and checked them out to see what I could fit in there. It was one of those things that I was going to stop back in for and never did. Those 3- and 4-night cruises get away from you quickly, so, like I said, buy what you think you may want and give yourself a day or two to think about whether or not you really need to keep it.
