If you’re looking for a Disney Cruise Line port adventure in Cozumel, look no further than A Family Beach Day at Kuza Beach! This all-inclusive port adventure is the perfect way to have a beach day in Cozumel in a family-friendly setting with plenty of amenities. Kuza Beach is one of the newest and largest beach destinations in Cozumel. In fact, it’s named after the ancient Mayan name for Cozumel, Kuzamil.

You can book the All-Inclusive Pass (listed as port adventure CZ121) for $89 for ages 10 and up and $79 for ages 3 to 9. Included in the price is transportation from the port to Kuza Beach and back, a buffet lunch, non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks for the adults, kids’ activities like a playground, water toys, plus a piñata party, and reserved beach loungers and umbrellas.

The great thing about booking any port adventure through Disney Cruise Line, it is both vetted by Disney and your transportation on and off the ship is also coordinated by Disney. In other words, you don’t have to worry about getting off the ship and trying to find your own way around Cozumel. The port adventures desk onboard the ship can also answer specific questions as many of those cast members have first-hand experience. For example, I booked the Kuza Beach Pass while needing a wheelchair and the port adventures team was able to tell me exactly what was offered for my mobility concerns.

To get to Kuza Beach, you are taken by one of the tour guides from the ship across the port to motor coach transportation. From there, Kuza Beach is a quiet 30-minute ride. Once at the destination, you’ll notice Kuza Beach is expanding to include what looks like a water park. You then head by tram or golf cart across a long bridge through the beautiful mangroves. The reveal of the beach really is stunning as you get your first glimpse through the palm trees.
Be sure to ask your tour guide about the different activities happening that day, they are there to help! There are included tequila tastings for the adults, live entertainment, and spa packages available for purchase. You have around four hours to enjoy the beach and it goes by fast!

There are multiple sections of the beach at Kuza, two for families and one for just adults. They are almost identical but help to give everyone a reserved spot. There are also two restaurants which are included in the port adventure.

The restaurants feature a thatched roof and are open-air to the beautiful beach. There is plenty of seating and despite it being a buffet, you do have a waiter who keeps the drinks coming (remember they’re included in your pass!) Because of the size of the restaurant, it felt peaceful even during peak lunch hours.

The buffet features Mexican dishes and family-friendly options like spaghetti, chicken fingers, and cheese quesadillas. There is a full salad bar, make your own taco section, burritos, chips salsa and queso, plus rice and beans. The DCL port adventures team told me Kuza Beach has the best lunch and they were absolutely right!

Thanks to an ankle break, I was completely unable to walk when taking this port adventure and was pleasantly surprised how accommodating everything was. I did have to transfer onto the tour bus but had accessible golf cart transportation to the beach and a beach wheelchair waiting on me. The team was also really great with helping me with my wheelchair and making sure I had anything I wanted from the buffet and bar. It was great to be able to still experience the beach while also being pretty immobile.

The Kuza Family Beach Day is a great fit for anyone looking to have a relaxing beach day in Cozumel while also enjoying a great lunch, open-bar, and family-friendly activities. We really enjoyed the service at Kuza Beach and felt like it was a nice extension to our Disney Cruise Line experience.
