Disney Cruise Line allows guests to bring a limited quantity of alcoholic beverages on board under specific conditions. If you are 21 years of age or older, you may bring up to two bottles of unopened wine or champagne, each no larger than 750 milliliters, or up to six beers, each no larger than 12 ounces. This limit applies both at the start of your cruise and at each port of call. These items must be packed in your carry-on luggage. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in checked luggage.

For round-trip sailings departing from Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Brisbane, and Singapore, the minimum age to bring alcoholic beverages on board is 18 instead of 21. The same quantity limitations apply: no more than two bottles of unopened wine or champagne (up to 750 ml each) or no more than six beers (up to 12 ounces each). These beverages must also be placed in carry-on bags and cannot be packed in checked luggage.

It is important to follow these guidelines carefully to avoid issues during boarding. Alcohol packed in checked bags will be removed from your luggage. If this occurs, no compensation will be provided, and Disney Cruise Line is not responsible for any damage that may result from the removal. Reports have shown that guests who place beverages in their checked luggage often experience damage to their belongings due to pressure or handling.

When bringing alcoholic beverages on board, containers must be in their original, unopened packaging. Opened bottles, partially filled bottles, or containers without a seal will not be allowed onboard. Beverages that exceed the quantity permitted, more than two bottles of wine or champagne, or more than six beers, will not be allowed. Excess items must be surrendered before boarding, and you will not receive compensation for discarded items.

If you purchase alcoholic beverages during port visits, you may not bring them back to your stateroom. Instead, Disney Cruise Line will store these items for you until the end of your cruise. Liquors or spirits purchased at ports of call will also be held until the end of the cruise. It is your responsibility to retrieve these items when disembarking. Items that are not picked up at the end of the cruise will be discarded. Disney Cruise Line does not provide compensation for any stored alcohol that is not retrieved.

Alcohol brought onboard for personal consumption may only be consumed in your stateroom. You are not permitted to drink personal alcohol in lounges, dining rooms, pool decks, or other public areas of the ship. If you would like to drink your own wine or champagne during a meal in one of the ship’s dining rooms, a corkage fee of $29 per bottle will apply.

To avoid any inconvenience, you should plan ahead and pack any alcohol according to Disney Cruise Line’s carry-on policies. Carry-on luggage must meet size and weight restrictions, and you should ensure that any bottles are securely packed to prevent breakage. It is advisable to use protective bottle sleeves or wrap items with clothing or soft materials to avoid spills or damage during luggage screening.

If you have questions about what is permitted or if there have been changes to the alcohol policy, it is a good idea to check the official Disney Cruise Line website or contact a customer service representative before your sailing. Disney Cruise Line’s alcohol policy is subject to change without notice, and staying informed will help ensure a smoother boarding process.

Following all alcohol-related guidelines will help you avoid delays or removal of your beverages at the port. By adhering to these rules, you can bring a limited amount of your favorite wine, champagne, or beer with you to enjoy in your stateroom during your voyage.
