Disney Cruise Line has treated us to some more images of the four Royal Suites, including the two 2-story suites coming to the Disney Wish, the fifth ship in DCL’s fleet that will start sailing in June of 2022.
I don’t know about all of you, but I am about as excited as a Disney fan can be about this upcoming ship. Please give me ALL of the Disney IP all over the place onboard the Disney ships. I’m ALL about it. My new goal is to somehow stay in or at least be able to see each one of these themed Royal Suites now. I know, it’s the biggest bucket list, but I like to aim high.
More along the lines of what I know I can do, I’m jazzed that the non-concierge staterooms are magically themed to my very favorite Disney Fairytale – Cinderella!
Also, take a look at the stateroom number plaques! I’m sorry (not really), but these are magical! I love Cinderella’s coach so much! I’m still over here trying to figure out how to get my hands on one of those bread baskets from Royal Palace on the Disney Dream! LOL! I promise that I won’t try to pry any of these plaques off the wall. Ahem.
As part of today’s update, let’s have a look at the Sleeping Beauty 2-story suite. The rich, dark color palette of this suite is just gorgeous and luxurious. In fact, it’s reminiscent of the forest scene in the film where Aurora meets Prince Phillip as they’re shown in one of the bedrooms. I can’t wait to see a closer shot of the mural in the living room; it’s so beautiful!
Monica Ireland from Disney Imagineering compared these suites to the Cinderella Castle Suite at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World!
I also love that the floating lanterns from Tangled have made such a big statement in the Rapunzel-themed concierge staterooms. Their glow is swoon-worthy for sure!
Check out this kids’ suite within the Moana-themed 2-story stateroom that’s located inside the ship’s funnel – I love how they’re flush with the walls like little built-in alcoves – similar to the ones we’ve seen in the artist renderings of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser that opens next summer at Walt Disney World.
Remember the library in this Moana suite? It can be turned into a third bedroom! How cool is that?
In addition to the four Royal Suites, the ship will offer seven Little Mermaid-themed Concierge rooms. These staterooms will have floor-to-ceiling angled windows that will face out to the front of the ship. This is the first time guests will be able to enjoy the same view as the ship’s captain right from their stateroom.
The Concierge Lounge on the Disney Wish has also been expanded and will offer both indoor and outdoor seating all the way forward.
