Who doesn’t love a good Disney docco? (That’s Aussie for a documentary!) A Disney documentary is a guilty pleasure of mine and something I look forward to whenever a new one is released. I’ve always found the special presentations on the Disney Cruise Line ships to be my favorite. With much experience in the Disney Parks and so little by comparison with the ships, seeing the ins and outs of these giant vessels of art in a bright new way always makes me smile. And that is what I will be doing this weekend when a new documentary about the Disney Treasure from National Geographic airs on television on March 28th and, one day later, streams on Disney+. Read all the details from Disney below:
The film gives a peek behind the curtain of the first Broadway-style adaptation of the Walt Disney Animation Studiosā hit, Moana, and travels to Mexico for an inside look at the creation of Plaza de Coco, an onboard restaurant inspired by the Pixar Animation Studiosā film, Coco. And you wonāt want to miss the unprecedented glimpse into the realm of illusions that Disney Imagineers build inside Haunted Mansion Parlor, an immersive bar themed to the Disney Parksā Haunted Mansion attractions.
Magic of the Disney Treasure premieres this Friday, March 28 at 10 p.m. EST on the National Geographic Channel. Tune in for a full evening of Disney programming that kicks off at 7:30 p.m. EST with EPCOT Becoming: Inside the Transformation, followed by Making the Wish: Disneyās Newest Cruise Ship.
The evening will conclude with a showing of Magic of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point at 11 p.m. EST and a second chance to see EPCOT Becoming: Inside the Transformation and Magic of the Disney Treasure at 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. EST on March 29. You can also catch the debut of the documentary on Disney+ and Hulu on March 29.
