Here is your first look at how the Disney Destiny is going the distance with the new Disney Hercules show! The artist’s rendering shows the battle scene with Hydra (in MASSIVE puppet form) onstage. Shooting Star will be used in this show – this song was written for Walt Disney Pictures’ Hercules film (1997), but was replaced by Go the Distance.
Our favorite Greek gladiator will take center stage onboard the Disney Destiny in an all-new, Broadway-style show, Disney Hercules when the ship sets sail in November 2025.

This lively retelling of the popular Walt Disney Animation Studios film will feature the iconic music and larger-than-life characters we all know and love from the original movie, presented in an all-new way.
In a media panel with the creative minds behind Hercules, Disney said they are “one-upping” themselves from the Disney Treasure‘s Tale of Moana stage show.

This version of Hercules will stay true to the original story, while also featuring a fresh, contemporary setting, with upbeat pop and soulful gospel renditions of beloved songs, including Zero to Hero, Go the Distance, and Shooting Star; a song that didn’t make it into the original film.
To find the perfect cast of characters for the show, Disney conducted auditions in London, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York City. During our media preview, it was announced Corey J. Bradford would be portraying Hercules. Corey then arrived onstage to perform Go the Distance. He sounded wonderful; we cannot wait to see him in the full show!

Between the towering Hydra puppets, Hades’ signature dry wit, and the promise of stunningly lavish Greek costumes and set design, we’re counting down the days until we can board the Disney Destiny!
