Itinerary Changes for Disney Treasure After Hurricane Melissa Wreaks Havoc in Jamaica

Disney Cruise Line adjusts the Disney Treasure’s sailing due to Hurricane Melissa, replacing Falmouth with a sea day and adding Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Disney Cruise Line has announced itinerary changes for an upcoming Disney Treasure sailing as it monitors the progress of Hurricane Melissa in the Atlantic. While the storm is not expected to impact the voyage directly, proactive adjustments are being made to ensure guest safety and account for possible regional recovery efforts following the storm.

According to the updated itinerary, the Disney Treasure will no longer call on Falmouth, Jamaica, as initially planned. Instead, guests will spend that day at sea. To balance the schedule, the previously scheduled sea day has been replaced with a visit to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Disney Cruise Line’s newest private island destination in The Bahamas.

The revised itinerary is now as follows:

  • Saturday: Port Canaveral (Embarkation)
  • Sunday: Day at Sea
  • Monday: Cozumel, Mexico
  • Tuesday: George Town, Grand Cayman
  • Wednesday: Day at Sea (previously Falmouth, Jamaica)
  • Thursday: Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point (previously Day at Sea)
  • Friday: Disney Castaway Cay
  • Saturday: Port Canaveral (Debarkation)

Disney Cruise Line emphasized that the safety of guests and crew remains its top priority, and these itinerary changes were made with that commitment in mind. Disney has also automatically removed any pre-reserved Port Adventures for Falmouth from affected guests’ cruise activities.

Additionally, onboard experiences such as Palo Brunch, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointments, and beverage tastings that conflict with the schedule change will be adjusted once guests are onboard. Guests will have the opportunity to reserve new activities and excursions for Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or at the Port Adventures desk once the ship sets sail.

The Disney Treasure continues to operate as scheduled, and Disney Cruise Line will continue to monitor Hurricane Melissa while keeping guests informed of any additional updates.
