Disney Cruise Line shared Thursday that a group of cast members from Disney Live Entertainment recently traveled to Nashville, TN, to record the music for the new Broadway-style stage show, Disney Hercules, debuting exclusively on the Disney Destiny later this year!

A group of singers from Orlando, FL, teamed up with 17 top gospel singers from Nashville to give the classic Disney film soundtrack a soulful, high-energy spin. The new version was brought to life with help from an orchestra of nearly 70 musicians and a 10-piece marching band drumline.

The group spent over 50 hours creating the 55-minute soundtrack for the show, which includes a brand-new version of Shooting Star – a song originally written for the movie but left out of the final cut. Now that the music is done, the team is working on props, choreography, and costumes to prepare everything for cruise guests this November.
