My fiancé and I waited ten years to have a dream wedding. When he proposed and suggested we tie the knot on a Disney Cruise, I was overjoyed! I immediately signed up for more information on the Disney Fairytale Weddings site and researched which Disney Cruise Line stateroom I wanted to book. As a Disney theme parks fan, research and planning are all part of the fun for me.
A week went by and the wedding information never came. I decided to pick up the phone and call Disney; I was told someone would call me back. Four days went by and I called again. I was told that the fairytale planners were extremely busy and someone would get back with me in a few days. Meanwhile, my first choice room was booked by another guest and I was becoming discouraged.
I have been watching Dis Unplugged and Dreams podcasts for years. I never felt the need to use a travel agent, but I didn’t want to give up on our wedding dreams. I decided to put Dreams Unlimited Travel to the test. I filled out a short interest form on their website before I went to bed. I already knew exactly what I wanted and I was interested in seeing if Dream’s proposal and quotes would match the depth of my research.
I woke up to an email from a Dreams agent that specializes in various cruise lines and she was holding a stateroom for me, pending my confirmation. She was prompt and informative. Her price quote matched my research to the penny and she informed me of an opportunity to save money by shifting my trip forward one week. The stateroom she was holding was not only the same category, floor and side of the ship that my research led me to, but it was also the exact same stateroom number with a bump out balcony! Furthermore, she had answers from Disney Fairytale Weddings within 24 hours! Bonus: The wedding package counted towards the total price of our cruise and therefore counted towards our Dreams Unlimited Travel shipboard credit, which we are using for a Castaway Cay cabana.
