When kids step into Disney’s Oceaneer Club aboard the new Disney Destiny cruise ship, they’ll find themselves in the sugary world of Sugar Rush from Wreck-It Ralph. Disney Imagineers have brought the video game to life right at the entrance of the Youth Activities area, decking it out with candy-themed touches everywhere you look, from sweet-shaped light fixtures to a custom carpet designed to look like the racetrack, complete with chocolate and caramel drizzles outlining the course!

To complete the space, Walt Disney Imagineering is adding life-size statues of Wreck-It Ralph and his spunky sidekick, Vanellope von Schweetz. This fun-loving pair captures the heart of the ship’s heroes-and-villains theme, showing that even former “bad guys” can turn out to be heroes after all.

Imagineer Meg Tracy, one of the creative leads behind the statues, is seen carefully reviewing the paint details to make sure every color matches the animated look of the characters. Once the final touches are done, the statues will be installed on Deck 2, ready to welcome your kids as they dive into their next adventure!
