Aboard the Disney Treasure, Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the vibrant town of Santa Cecilia awakens at Plaza De Coco, the first theatrical dining experience themed to the Disney and Pixar film, Coco. Miguel and his familia take guests on a colorful, music-filled journey that celebrates treasured family memories and togetherness with a festive dinner menu that offers a modern twist on traditional Mexican fare.
During their 7-night voyage, guests will experience two distinct, celebratory evenings at Plaza de Coco, where live music and special appearances by beloved characters will bring the story of Miguel and the Rivera family to life, right where it left off on the big screen. The music-filled theatrical dining experiences feature live performances with favorite characters from the film, including Miguel, Abuelita, Mamá Imelda, and Héctor.
If you’re familiar with the long hallway heading down to Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure on the Disney Wish, this is where Plaza De Coco will be located. I love slowly walking down that hallway after dinner and looking at all the artwork adorning the walls on either side. I’m so excited to see all the art from Coco in this hallway! I love the photo of Miguel kissing his Abuela on the cheek!
As you can see, the vibrant venue pays homage to the film, including the Rivera family’s Ofrenda, featuring family photos and marigolds. Imagineers also created colorful papel picados inspired by the motifs in Mexican folklore, music, and floral elements. In honor of the Rivera family shoemaking business, the space is also decorated with shoes and traditional shoemaking equipment.
Guests should get ready for a festive lineup of family favorites and Mexican-inspired fare paired with delicious, themed drink options, including Abuelita Elena Shrimp Diabla, Luisa’s Pollo Asado, and for something sweet, Mexican Chocolate Tart.
