In the latest Ship’s Log, Disney Cruise Line shared that the Disney Treasure, the newest ship in the fleet, departed Eemshaven, Netherlands on its transatlantic journey Tuesday. The ship will eventually arrive at its future home in Port Canaveral, but as we previously reported, the vessel’s christening will take place in New York City.
The ship will travel 4,500 miles in two weeks, making its first port of call stop in Funchal, Portugal.
Disney Cruise Line says the crew onboard will make final preparations to the ship during its travels so it will be ready for its maiden voyage on December 21, 2024.
