This week has been all about exciting announcements regarding the Disney Destiny, but in the wee hours of Saturday morning, the Disney Treasure floated out of the building where it was built in the Meyer Werft Shipyard! The ship will now dock in the shipyard’s harbor as the work continues on the inside. When a ship floats out of the building, it signifies the completion of the vessel’s exterior.

The significant maritime tradition draws quite a crowd of spectators and today was no different. Captain Minnie Mouse was on hand for the occasion too!

With a tugboat leading the way, the ship floats slowly through the narrow opening, which allows for only three feet on either side of the vessel!
