Disney Magic Will Return to Sailing Out of Miami this Fall

If you’ve had your heart set on sailing from a U.S. port aboard the Disney Magic, today’s the day for which you’ve waited! Disney Cruise Line has announced the resumption of sailing for the Disney Magic from Miami, and the first sailing isn’t too far away.

The Disney Magic will resume sailing from Miami on October 28th, 2021. The majority of the voyages will consist of 4- and 5-night sailings. The 4-night sailings will includes stops in The Bahamas, and the 5-night sailings will include ports of call in both The Bahamas and Mexico.

As DCL plans out the resumption of sailing for the Disney Magic, they’ve found the need to cancel the October 21st and October 24th, 2021 voyages. As we’ve seen with cancellations in the past, guests who had paid in full for these two voyages will be “offered the choice of a full refund or a cruise credit to be used for a future sailing. Guests who have not paid their reservations in full will automatically receive a refund of what they have paid so far.”

Guests who have been impacted will receive communication from Disney Cruise Line.

As always, the experts at Dreams Unlimited Travel are ready to help you navigate these changes and/or help you plan your next Disney Cruise Line adventure. Click here to contact them today.

The details from DCL are below:

The Disney Magic will resume delivering magical family vacations in the U.S. with mostly 4- and 5-night sailings out of Miami, Florida beginning October 28, 2021. Four-night sailings will feature stops in The Bahamas. Five-night sailings will feature stops in The Bahamas and Mexico.

As we continue to resume sailings in a gradual, phased approach, it is necessary for Disney Cruise Line to modify some Disney Magic itineraries, as well as cancel the October 21 and October 24, 2021 Disney Magic sailings. Guests who have paid their reservation in full will be offered the choice of a full refund or a cruise credit to be used for a future sailing. Guests who have not paid their reservations in full will automatically receive a refund of what they have paid so far.

Requirements to Sail

In order to sail, Guests 12 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Due to recently updated technical guidance from the CDC, Guests 11 years of age and younger are not required to be vaccinated, but must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result (paid for by the Guest) taken between 3 days and 24 hours prior to the date you set sail. The test should be a rapid PCR test or lab-based PCR test. Rapid antigen tests are not accepted. Additionally, beginning September 13, all Guests, regardless of age and vaccination status, are also required to take a COVID-19 test administered by Inspire Diagnostics at the terminal before boarding.

Fully vaccinated Guests who wish to disembark the ship while in a port of call can do so without the need to purchase a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure. Guests who are vaccinated and wish to disembark the ship with unvaccinated children will need to purchase a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure. All Guests are required to adhere to local laws, regulations and protocols, including those related to health and safety, in place at the destination.
