The newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Destiny, is preparing for its grand debut on November 20, 2025. Departing from Port Everglades, Florida, the Destiny will embark on 4- and 5-night sailings to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean. As with every ship in the Disney fleet, the Destiny will act as a floating storybook. And this time, the tale is one of Heroes and Villains.
New Storytellers & Grand Hall Entertainment
At the heart of the Disney Destiny lies the Grand Hall, which continues the evolution of the atrium spaces seen aboard the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure.
Disney has announced that the Destiny’s Grand Hall will feature multiple entertainment offerings designed to support the ship’s overarching story of heroes and villains.

Two new exclusive characters, Zayah and Gamble, will serve as the ship’s traveling storytellers. Carrying enchanted trunks that react to the powerful energy and magic of classic Disney villains, Zayah and Gamble will guide guests through an evolving narrative during the voyage. Much like Coriander and Sage on the Disney Treasure, they’ll appear throughout the day and evening to share stories, spark curiosity, and tie together moments across the ship – but mostly found in the Grand Hall!

Another major entertainment experience debuting in the Grand Hall is “Sounds of Wakanda”, a live musical celebration led by a troupe of traveling percussionists. This high-energy performance will blend rhythm, storytelling, and rich culture of Wakanda from Marvel’s Black Panther.
A Theme of Duality: Heroes vs. Villains
The Disney Destiny’s entire design, entertainment, and guest experience will center around the age-old conflict of light and dark. Celebrating Disney heroes and iconic villains alike, the ship invites guests into an immersive world where bravery and mischief coexist.
This theme extends throughout the ship’s décor, entertainment offerings, dining experiences, and character appearances, including unique interactions with Dr. Facilier, Cruella de Vil and Dr. Strange’s themed lounges, the ever-popular Haunted Mansion Parlor, and the ship’s all-new exclusive Broadway-style production of Hercules.
