The inaugural Disney Destiny Walt Disney Theatre cast has officially arrived in Papenburg, Germany, marking an exciting milestone for Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship. The cast stepped aboard for the first time to see the venue where they will spend the next several weeks preparing three Broadway-style productions: fleet favorites Disney Seas the Adventure and Frozen, A Musical Spectacular, along with the all-new Disney Hercules.
Before traveling overseas, the talented performers spent 11 weeks at Disney Cruise Line’s entertainment facility in Toronto, Canada. There, they learned dialogue, choreography, and music for Disney Hercules, including energetic show-stopping numbers like “Zero to Hero.” Rehearsals included the use of puppets, costume samples, and scenic pieces that closely replicate what will be featured on the Disney Destiny stage.

Now in Papenburg, the cast will take their rehearsals to the next level. They will begin integrating technical elements such as full costumes, detailed set pieces, and innovative puppetry that will bring Hercules’ world to life in a way never before seen on the high seas.
With the curtain soon to rise aboard the Disney Destiny, anticipation is building for guests eager to experience these spectacular shows when the ship sets sail. Stay tuned for more updates as the cast and creative team prepare to debut this new lineup of entertainment.
