In their latest Ship’s Log entry, Disney Cruise Line has offered an exciting new look at Disney Hercules, the all-new Broadway-style musical set to debut exclusively aboard the Disney Destiny when the ship sets sail next month. The production will be performed in the ship’s grand Walt Disney Theatre, and cast members are currently rehearsing and adding final touches ahead of the vessel’s maiden voyage.
The creative team behind Disney Hercules has spent months perfecting this reimagined version of the 1997 animated classic, bringing fresh energy, humor, and heart to the stage. Guests can expect a mix of high-fashion costumes, elaborate set designs inspired by ancient Greece, and cutting-edge puppetry that bring beloved characters, such as Hercules, Megara, Hades, and the Muses, to life in a spectacular new way.

Earlier this year, the production’s music was recorded in Nashville, featuring updated arrangements of fan-favorite songs from the film, including Go the Distance, Zero to Hero, and I Won’t Say (I’m in Love). The new show will combine those hits with original theatrical elements that celebrate Disney Cruise Line’s signature storytelling and stagecraft.

The Walt Disney Theatre onboard the Disney Destiny is being equipped with state-of-the-art lighting, sound, and visual effects to enhance the experience and immerse audiences in the mythological world of Mount Olympus. The show promises a mix of humor, heart, and heroism, reflecting the adventurous spirit of the Disney Destiny itself.
With rehearsals now in full swing and the premiere just weeks away, anticipation is building for what’s expected to become one of Disney Cruise Line’s most dazzling at-sea productions. Guests aboard the Disney Destiny will soon see for themselves how this legendary tale goes from zero to hero – Disney Cruise Line style. I can hardly wait to see this show when I step onto the Disney Destiny in December!
