A huge milestone was reached on Tuesday, November 19th, when the Disney Treasure, the newest cruise ship in Disney’s fleet, was christened in New York, New York. This is the first time we’ve seen a nighttime christening, and it was absolutely spectacular to watch the live stream in the dark NY skies.
American Idol‘s Jordin Sparks kicked off the celebration by belting out the ship’s anthem, Live the Adventure, and it was just as fantastic as you’d imagine it would be.

The drone show finished with a larger-than-life bottle of champagne in the sky officially christening the ship and loud cheers were heard in the live stream! What an exciting event!
The Disney Treasure will embark on its maiden voyage, a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida, on December 21, 2024. It will be followed by an inaugural season of seven-night itineraries from Port Canaveral to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
