Disney has shared a new behind-the-scenes look at the Disney Believe, the newest ship currently under construction for Disney Cruise Line.

Natacha Rafalski, President of Disney Signature Experiences, recently visited the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, alongside members of the Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering teams. During her visit, she shared new photos highlighting the progress being made on the ship.

One image shows the group standing beneath one of the Disney Believe’s massive funnels as work continues inside the shipyard. While the funnel is still coated in a reddish-brown primer and far from its finished appearance, the raised Disney Cruise Line emblem has already been installed. Scaffolding, construction equipment, and exposed steel sections throughout the building hall offer a glimpse at the scale of the project as construction moves forward.

A second photo captures Rafalski and other project leaders holding newly fabricated steel pieces stamped with identification numbers beginning with “723,” the Meyer Werft hull number assigned to the Disney Believe.

In a post on LinkedIn, Rafalski described the visit as an exciting opportunity to see the ship’s progress firsthand:

The Disney Believe is taking shape!

I recently had the opportunity to visit Papenburg, Germany with our Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering teams to see the progress being made on our next ship.

It’s incredible to see the ship at this stage in the building process. From holding a piece of steel to standing in front of the iconic funnel, the day was filled with excitement for the future. I truly cannot wait to see the Disney Believe come to life with every visit.

Set to debut in late 2027, the Disney Believe will become Disney Cruise Line’s ninth vessel and the fourth in the Wish class, joining the Disney WishDisney Treasure, and Disney Destiny.

Each Wish class ship is built around a distinct theme that influences everything from décor to onboard storytelling. For the Disney Believe, the guiding idea is “promise and possibilities,” with a focus on dreamers and doers who follow their own path to a happily ever after.

Disney has already confirmed that inspiration will come from EncantoFrozenSnow White and the Seven DwarfsMoana, and The Little Mermaid. Specific details about the ship’s restaurants, entertainment, attractions, and onboard experiences have not yet been revealed. What do you hope to see onboard?
