DCL’s Cove Café: Heaven in a Coffee Cup

One of the perks of a Disney Cruise is that your fountain beverages, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are included in your cruise fare which is great for most people. But, what if you are a bit more discerning about your coffee choices? What if you need your daily latte to power through your day? Well, fellow cruisers let me introduce you to Cove Café, Disney Cruise Line’s adults-only coffee bar.

Cove Café can be found on each of the Disney ships, in their respective adults-only area. You can indulge in specialty coffee (hot and iced), tea, and adult beverages for an additional fee. Indoor and outdoor seating abound and it’s a great spot to read a magazine, catch up on email (it’s one of the best wifi spots on the ship), or just kick back and watch some TV (on the Dream and Fantasy).

Some of my favorite things about Cove Café:

Latte Designs: I LOVED stopping into Cove Café every morning to get my gingerbread latte adorned with a Disney character design. I let the baristas surprise me with the design, but you can request a favorite character as well.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere in Cove Café is relaxed, quiet, and most of the time you have the whole nook to yourself. If you are looking for a place to decompress and get your caffeine fix, you cannot beat the ambiance.

Earn Free Coffee: Yep, fellow coffee drinkers, you can earn yourself a free coffee while onboard. Ask your barista for the Café Fanatic reward punch card, and your sixth coffee is on the house.

Don’t Forget the Bakery Case: What goes better than a morning latte? A danish of course! Cove Café also has a small bakery case of complimentary pastries and snacks available throughout the day.

I found the prices of the coffee drinks to be comparable to Starbucks and the fact that you can earn a free drink is a nice touch. I also like how they offer seasonal drinks and treats. Cove Café is a must for me on every DCL sailing.
