Disney Cruise Line might be the most stress-free, relaxing Disney vacation you can take. Once you arrive to the port, drop off your bags, and go through security, you’re on your way to an unforgettable vacation. However, it can also become unforgettable if you pack a prohibited or restricted item whether or not it is a mistake. Skip the headache at the port causing delays in the embarkation process and potential additional screening and leave the following items at home.

  • Marijuana – Are you traveling from a state where marijuana or medical marijuana is legal? If you are and you partake, double check your possessions to make sure you don’t have any in your bags and luggage. Marijuana is illegal in many of the ports Disney Cruise Line visits. You could be arrested and subject to legal penalties if caught so just don’t bring it and play it safe.
  • Weapons – This one should go without being said, but mistakes happen. Disney Cruise Line has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to weapons, firearms, and ammunition. These items are all prohibited. If you ever had ammunition in your bag from past vacations to other destinations, check all compartments and pockets thoroughly.
  • Select Electrical Items – As someone who travels with multiple cameras, a phone, and laptop at the bare minimum, the stress of having enough outlets is a real ordeal. What is the harm in bringing a power strip or surge protector to add outlets? Well, it could become a fire hazard and for that reason they aren’t allowed. This also goes for irons, steamers, blenders, coffee makers, diffusers, extension cords, heating pads, hot plats, microwave ovens, drones, power tools, rice cookers, and streaming devices along with a lot more you probably would never think of bringing.

This is just a condensed version of what you can’t bring on a Disney Cruise Line vacation. The list can also change at any point in time, so definitely check out the official Disney Cruise Line website for the Prohibited and Restricted Items list. Make your summer vacation less stressful, and leave the prohibited items at home!
