Recently Jackie told us all about Pirates IN the Caribbean Night on Disney Cruise Line, and Erica took us on a magical tour of all of the Main Dining Rooms on the Disney Dream… so let’s combine them and talk about the best Main Dining Room for Pirate Night (mostly on the Disney Dream, but others too).
Pirate Night Menu
Before I just jump in with photos and menus, it is important to note that the Pirate Menu is the same throughout the ship. So no matter what your dining rotation is, you will get to enjoy all of the nautical delights.
Animator’s Palate (Disney Dream/Disney Fantasy) on Pirate Night
I love Animator’s Palate, and it’s even better on Pirate Night!
Some guests love the decor that makes you feel like you are in an animator’s studio, and that Crush swims around the dining room all night; for others, Animator’s Palate is not their favorite place to eat. Those guests will be happy to know the characters from Finding Nemo get to take the night off when the swashbuckling festivities begin.
Instead, the dining room is bathed in warm tones of yellow and orange lighting. The screens throughout the dining room pay homage to Disney’s love affair with the sea. You’ll see movie stills, artists’ renderings, and portraits of your favorite seafaring characters and theme park attractions. Everyone from Captain Hook to Blackbeard can be seen, and even some lesser-known features, like Treasure Planet, are celebrated.
So if you love Peter Pan, the Black Pearl, and that dog with the keys from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, you are in for a treat while enjoying tasty treats.
Animator’s Palate on the Disney Magic/Disney Wonder
No worries, me hearties. If you are on the Disney Magic or Disney Wonder, your Pirate Night will also be filled with scallywags and nautical ne’er do wells on the screens too! But when looking at all four Animator’s Palate restaurants, I simply prefer the swashbuckling ambiance of the Disney Dream.
Requesting a Dining Rotation
Every itinerary is unique. As your sailing date approaches, the team at Disney Cruise Line will be able to assist in identifying which night of your cruise will be Pirate Night, and can place a request on your reservation that you be in a certain dining room that evening.
Remember, this is a request, not a guarantee, as several factors go into assigning dining rotations. I cannot stress this enough: You will have a fun and festive night in any dining room on the ship!
Other Dining Rooms on Pirate Night
I have sailed on all the ships, and while I do love Pirate Night at Animator’s Palate the best, that is simply my own preference. I really enjoy being surrounded by the pirate scenery on the screens, the warm glowing lights, and the nautical music from my favorite Disney soundtracks.
However, every single dining room has fathoms of fun for everyone. From stage shows in Tiana’s Place to games, songs, and other surprises. Your entire crew will be singing “A Pirate’s Life for Me,” before the night is through.
