According to an internal letter shared by Thomas Mazloum, President, Disney Signature Experiences, Disney Cruise Line has received approval from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to begin conducting simulated cruises at the end of this month.

The 2-day test cruise on the Disney Dream will depart from Port Canaveral, FL, on June 29 and return on July 1, 2021.

In the letter, Mazloum states that the ship will sail with volunteer passengers who will test the newly developed health and safety protocols. We were on the phone with Disney Cruise Line after this letter surfaced and were told that “there is no need for volunteers beyond our current cast member base.”

Mazloum also stated that Disney Cruise Line would continue to work closely with the CDC and adjust their new protocols as needed.
