When planning your trip with Disney Cruise Line, choosing the right stateroom is an essential step in the booking process. Whether you are traveling as a couple, a family, or a larger, multi-generational group, there is a wide variety of stateroom categories to choose from across the Disney Cruise Line fleet. These categories are Concierge, Verandah, Oceanview, and Inside. Each ship in the fleet may offer slightly different room layouts and designs within these categories, so it is imperative that you review all available options for the specific cruise ship you are considering, as they can also vary from one ship to another. You can view photos and layouts ahead of time to ensure you book exactly what you need for your traveling party.
The categories available across the Disney Cruise Line ships are outlined below.
Concierge Staterooms
Concierge-level staterooms are the highest category available on Disney Cruise Line. These staterooms are designed for parties of 5 to 7 guests and offer the most spacious accommodations onboard. Concierge staterooms are available in a variety of types, including Concierge Suites and Concierge Family Oceanview Staterooms with or without Verandahs. Guests in Concierge staterooms also receive access to exclusive services. These include assistance from a dedicated Concierge Services team before and during the cruise. Other features include priority boarding, access to a private Concierge Lounge, and upgraded in-room amenities. Exact square footage and room layout will vary depending on the ship and specific suite type.

Oceanview and Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah
Oceanview Staterooms with Verandahs are available for parties of 3 to 5 guests. These staterooms include a private verandah outside the main living area. The verandah allows guests to enjoy views of the ocean and fresh air from their own cabin. There are multiple types of verandah staterooms on each ship. Variations may include the size of the verandah, its position on the ship, and whether it is open-air or partially enclosed. All verandah staterooms have a split bathroom layout, which includes one room with a sink and toilet and a separate room with a sink and shower or tub. This feature is helpful for families or multiple guests sharing the room.

Oceanview and Family Oceanview Staterooms
Oceanview staterooms accommodate 3 to 4 guests. These rooms do not include a verandah. Instead, they provide a large porthole or two smaller portholes that offer ocean views from inside the cabin. Oceanview rooms are a mid-tier option that balances affordability with the added benefit of natural light and views. Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms include a split bathroom design. The layout, number of portholes, and size of the room vary by ship and location on board.

Inside Staterooms
Inside staterooms are the most economical option on Disney Cruise Line ships. These rooms are designed for 3 to 4 guests and do not have exterior windows or verandahs. Despite being windowless, many Inside staterooms include Disney’s Magical Porthole feature on certain ships. This is a real-time video feed of ocean views displayed on a round screen designed to look like a porthole. It offers the feeling of a window without the additional cost. Inside rooms include many of the same features found in higher categories, such as a queen bed, convertible sofa, privacy curtain between sleeping areas, and multiple storage options.

Stateroom Differences by Ship
Room types, layouts, and décor may vary slightly depending on the specific ship. Disney Cruise Line currently operates the following ships: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. Newer ships in the fleet, such as the Disney Wish, Treasure, and Destiny, offer updated styles and additional amenities in some room types. It is recommended that you review photos, floor/deck plans, and specific room categories listed under each ship when making your reservation.
Use the Disney Cruise Line website or contact a travel agent specializing in Disney cruises to compare room categories across different ships. Be sure to factor in the number of guests in your party, preferred view types, location preferences on the ship, and any added services you wish to use during your trip. This will help you select the Disney Cruise Line stateroom that best fits your needs.
