Disney Cruise Line has revealed new details about Cask & Cannon, a Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired lounge coming to the Disney Destiny. The pub will serve as a lively gathering spot for guests looking to unwind with a bit of pirate flair, blending storytelling and themed design with an adventurous beverage menu.
Cask & Cannon pays tribute to the Pirates of the Caribbean attractions found across Disney Parks worldwide. The lounge is designed to feel like a well-traveled hideout where swashbucklers have stashed souvenirs from their many voyages. The space features a collection of intentionally mismatched furnishings and nautical antiques that appear “acquired” rather than earned. Expect treasure maps, rum barrels, ship lanterns, fishing nets, and plenty of skull-and-crossbones décor tucked into nearly every corner.
The walls and floors are lined with worn wooden planks that evoke the hull of an old ship, and fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean films and attractions will spot nods to familiar scenes. The carved wooden frames around several portholes appear scorched, referencing the iconic burning village scene. Lanterns echo the lighting style seen in Disneyland Paris’ version of the attraction. And the bar itself is fronted by stacked treasure chests, calling to mind a captain’s quarters overflowing with loot.
One standout detail is a cabinet of 13 labeled drawers, each referencing a different pirate setting from Disney Parks around the world, including Port Royale, Blue Bayou, The Ghostly Grotto, Treasure Cove, and Talking Skull Bay.
The lounge will feature a menu centered around specialty, rare, and vintage rums, along with a lineup of exclusive brews crafted specifically for the ship. The goal is to create a relaxed-but-playful environment where guests can toast to adventure after a day at sea.
