The Disney Treasure arrived in Port Canaveral, FL, early Tuesday morning! This ship’s arrival marked the conclusion of its transatlantic journey from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, to its new home port in Port Canaveral, Florida, for the first time.
The ship is just about ready for its maiden voyage on December 21st, and Disney Cruise Line fans won’t want to miss a significant milestone: the ship’s christening celebration!
The christening is a maritime tradition believed to bring good luck to the ship, its crew, and all who sail aboard. Disney Cruise Line says that this ship will be christened like they’ve never done before. At 8 pm Eastern on the night of November 19th, everyone is invited to watch the live stream of the event, which promises to be an evening full of one-of-a-kind moments, including a few special appearances and the first official look at the ship!
The Disney Treasure will unlock the far-reaching realms of Disney Animation, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel and embrace dynamic tales from beloved Disney Parks attractions through captivating and immersive experiences on the high seas.
